Former NSW police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon is accused of fatally shooting television presenter Jesse Baird and his partner, Luke Davies, at Baird’s Sydney home.
Beau Lamarre-Condon and Jesse Baird had previously been involved in a relationship. Prosecutors allege that after it ended, the former police officer developed an obsessive fixation with the presenter. They claim that fixation culminated in Beau Lamarre-Condon entering Jesse Baird’s home disguised as an Uber Eats rider, shooting him and his new partner with a police-issued pistol.
Beau Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and one count of aggravated break and enter. His defence claims the men died during separate struggles involving the gun.
In this first episode covering the highly anticipated trial of Beau Lamarre-Condon, Wayne is joined by court reporter Stephen Gibbs to break down what has emerged during the opening days of proceedings, using voice actors recreating key moments from inside the courtroom.
