The event combined research, lived experience and practical expertise to help people with visual impairments build confidence and independence in the water.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Their conversation offers a glimpse of what can happen when stakeholders are involved early in the research process, challenging assumptions, bringing different expertise to the table and helping shape research that has the potential to make a difference beyond academia.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>“In Dialogue with Stakeholders” captures these conversations to show researchers what meaningful collaboration can look like, and how working with stakeholders from the outset can help research have real-world impact.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>You can read a transcript of the conversation <a href=\"https://1drv.ms/b/c/78a938171475c335/IQAVvAisHgtYQYEQ0zgZpuL-AUt7SZi2trH1WsQMl_aHyag?e=NRhj5H\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">here</a>.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Find out more about the South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership at <a href=\"https://southcoastdtp.ac.uk/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">southcoastdtp.ac.uk</a>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This is a <a href=\"https://researchpodcasts.co.uk/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Research Podcasts</a> production.&nbsp;</p><p><strong> </strong>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Credits:</strong>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Presenter and Producer:</strong> <a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/in/cathmcd11/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Catherine McDonald</a>, Research Podcasts&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Guests: </strong><a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/in/sadie-rockliffe-18661851/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Sadie Rockliffe</a>, University of Brighton; <a href=\"https://www.instagram.com/blind_girl_swims/?hl=en\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Melanie Barratt</a>, Blind double Paralympic champion swimmer&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Video and Audio Editor:</strong> <a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/in/alex-canner/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Alex Canner</a>, Research Podcasts&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Transcripts</strong>: <a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/in/lauren-white-1a585a41/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Lauren White</a>, Research Podcasts&nbsp;</p>","author_name":"The South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership"}
