Chris reflects on studying law despite never wanting to become a practising lawyer. Maria uses the familiar experience of looking into a well-stocked fridge and finding “nothing to eat” to explore the difference between having choices and knowing what you want. She also questions why university applications ask about parents’ education, and why some employers demand three or four years of experience for supposedly entry-level roles.
