A few weeks back I had the honour of hosting a panel at Destination 159Design – an event that brought together some of New Zealand’s leading design creatives for an afternoon of conversation, optimism and future-focused inspiration.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>On the panel with me were Tom Webster (<a href=\"https://www.websterhardingarchitects.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">architect</a> + host of <a href=\"https://www.tvnz.co.nz/shows/grand-designs-nz/episodes\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Grand Designs NZ</a>), Amy Shaw (Creative Director of <a href=\"https://www.davidshaw.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">David Shaw Furniture</a>), Emma Hayes (founder of <a href=\"https://www.emmahayes.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Emma Hayes Textiles</a>) and Nat Davis (founder of <a href=\"https://www.thefolio.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Folio magazine</a>). It was an energetic, thoughtful, insightful and robust kōrero - and I’m so glad we get to share it here with the wider design community and of course, my Super Creative listeners.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This event was made possible by the businesses and brands behind <a href=\"https://www.159design.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">159Design</a> – a trade focused, interior design centre in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland where a mix of trusted furnishing brands - textiles, furniture, flooring, rugs and hardware – are all under one convenient roof.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>A shout out to those brands that continuously champion and support the New Zealand interiors industry:</p><p>→ <a href=\"https://www.jamesdunloptextiles.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">James Dunlop Textiles</a></p><p>→ <a href=\"https://www.davidshaw.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">David Shaw Furniture</a></p><p>→ <a href=\"https://haro.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Haro Flooring</a></p><p>→ <a href=\"https://kovacs.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Kovacs Design Furniture</a></p><p>→ <a href=\"https://www.textilecompany.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Textile Company</a></p><p>→ <a href=\"https://belgotex.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Belgotex</a></p><p>→ <a href=\"https://theivyhouse.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Ivy House</a></p><p>→ <a href=\"https://porcelanosa.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Porcelanosa</a></p><p>→ <a href=\"https://www.montreux.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Montreux Furniture</a></p><p>→ <a href=\"https://www.emmahayes.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Emma Hayes Textiles</a></p><p>→ <a href=\"https://www.pocketspaceinteriors.co.nz/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Pocketspace Interiors</a></p>","author_name":"Catie Dawson | Super Creative"}
