Gardaí have begun trialling new safety devices that can measure the speed of e-scooters and e-bikes.
The portable devices, called mobile dynamometers, can determine the maximum speed that the vehicles are capable of.
This morning on The Agenda we spoke to Aontu Councillor in Navan, Emer Toibin, who recently took to social media to highlight and address the issue of e-scooters in Navan, regarding safety concerns and the rise in the number of “near misses” across the town because people are using them on footpath.
