🏉 Welcome to Kenty Blitz: World Cup Blowouts, Ipswich’s $200M Bid & PNG Chiefs
Paul Kent breaks down the biggest stories in rugby league as the World Cup continues and the player market heats up.
Kenty questions the tournament’s uneven matchups, the NRL’s international ambitions, and whether the game is doing enough to support grassroots clubs while AFL expands into rugby league territory.
Plus, he discusses the Ipswich Jets’ reported $200 million expansion war chest, John Singleton’s involvement, and the colourful Newtown stories connecting the Jets of yesterday and today.
Kenty also unpacks the PNG Chiefs’ jersey and naming dispute, Cooper Bai’s recruitment interest, Hudson Young’s contract situation, and the latest transfer talk involving the Roosters, Herbie Farnworth, Jack Bostock and Bradman Best. There’s also mail linking Newcastle with a pursuit of Harry Grant, before a preview of the weekend’s World Cup games.
