The movie follows two estranged friends whose road trip goes off the rails when they discover they&#39;ve accidentally been transporting drugs. It’s a film that feels grand in scope but has all the makings of a smart indie production: a small cast, a handful of locations, and a story that makes the most of its resources without feeling limited by them. It was not only a very enjoyable movie to watch but also completely inspiring! </p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Stephen Takashima</u></strong> is an award-winning filmmaker based in Los Angeles. His human-centric approach to storytelling and knack for blending genres have taken his work to Oscar-qualifying festivals including the Chicago International Film Festival and Hollyshorts. His first feature, <em>Don’t Kill My Vibe</em>, premiered at NewFilmmakers LA in 2025, and in 2026 he was selected as the Eric Zumbrunnen Fellow through American Cinema Editors (ACE).
