This week on Old Mates New Laughs, we're heading to Haddonfield to revisit one of horror's most iconic franchises: Halloween! From John Carpenter's original 1978 classic to the sequels, the Rob Zombie remakes and the recent trilogy, we're looking at how Michael Myers became one of the biggest names in horror — and whether the franchise has managed to keep the fear alive.
We're debating the best and worst films in the series, picking our favourite kills, discussing the Rob Zombie remakes and deciding what we really thought of the newer trilogy. Which films deserve their legendary status, which ones should have stayed buried, and just how many times can Michael Myers seemingly die before we stop believing it?
And then comes the ultimate showdown: Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers — who's the king of horror? Expect strong opinions, controversial choices, plenty of nostalgia and the usual disagreements between three old mates who definitely won't all agree on anything. So grab your mask, lock your doors and join us... because evil never really dies! 🎃🔪
