Olivier nominee Tyrone Huntley is reprising his acclaimed performance as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber at the London Palladium.
Directed by Timothy Sheader, Tyrone first played Judas ten years ago when this revival premiered at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre. He reprised his performance at Regent's Park multiple times and also played Judas in the production's US tour.
Last year Tyrone played Simon in the Hollywood Bowl revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, whilst also understudying Cynthia Erivo in the role of Jesus.
His theatre credits include Barnaby Tucker in Hello, Dolly! (London Palladium), Che in Evita (Curve Leicester), Jordan in Living Newspaper (Royal Court), Hunter in [title of show] (London Coliseum), Wes in The View UpStairs (Soho Theatre), Obi in Leave to Remain (Lyric Hammersmith), C.C. White in Dreamgirls (Savoy Theatre), Gator in Memphis(Shaftesbury Theatre), Porgy and Bess (Regent's Park Open Air Theatre), Seaweed in Hairspray (Curve Leicester), Doctor in The Book of Mormon (Prince of Wales Theatre) and TJ in Sister Act (UK & Ireland Tour).
As a director, Tyrone made his debut with Ain't Misbehavin', which played at Mercury Theatre Colchester and Southwark Playhouse, before joining the creative team of The Drifters Girl as Associate Director.
