In this episode of Life in Quarters, co-hosts Emma and Becca are feeling frustrated with the world. While both hosts are perpetual optimists and participants in hustle culture, they have recently noticed that reasonable goals are becoming ever more unattainable and hustle culture is being presented as the cure to a failing system. Becca focuses on how ridiculous it feels that everyone is now expected to be exceptional to the point of exhaustion and work three jobs to even dream of being able to afford a single family home. While Emma locks in on the feeling that if you’re not doing everything, you’re not doing anything at all and how that feeling completely cancels out the human elements of growth as we work towards our goals.
