The ancient Roman limes.</p><p>Gert-Jan and Reinier were detecting a field they’d had their eyes on for quite some time - with good reason.</p><p><br></p><p>One stater became two, became handfuls and handfuls of Roman aurei, denarii, and intriguingly, British Iron-Age staters of Cunobelin.
