Rebels, in all fairness, this is more than a book about a drug war. It's a snapshot. About drug-infested Miami in the 1970's, and the society around it, and Lt. Diaz's place in this battle. The book is chock full of gritty, brutally honest stories of the life of a police officer during these times. And don't get me started on the Monkey!! Both Raul and Sean have lots to say in this interview. Wait til you hear what they say about the Griselda biopic, too! It's a great deep dive to a wild and earlier time.
