On this episode, Mark reflects on a recent visit to the Battlefield of Marston Moor, where on 2nd July 1644, the Royalist Army under Prince Rupert of the Rhine was defeated by an Allied force of Parliamentarians and Scottish Covenantors. The largest battle fought on English soil where a late evening surprise attack turned the war in the north entirely in favour of the Parliamentarian cause.
