On this episode, Mark welcomes back to the syndicate Dr Victoria Carr and Simon Shephard to discuss the upcoming launch of their co-authored research and book, 'The Steps To Glory: Commissioning Officers for Britain's Land Forces Vol 1: 1660 to July 1914'. They discuss how the research came about, how they went about researching it and gave some top tips regarding writing one's own book. The vastness of their research, covering 1270 individual stories from across this period at Sandhurst, is the central spine of the book's narrative, which will be launched at the royal Military Academy Sandhurst on 22nd July 2026.
