Frodo Returns to Shire in LOTR: HUNT FOR GOLLUM First-Look Images
Ten first-look images from The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum have been released, most notably showing Elijah Wood's Frodo Baggins returning to Bag End in the Shire. The film takes place after Bilbo's Eleventy-First birthday and before Frodo ever leaves the Shire, meaning Frodo spends much of the film in his home village before the story eventually connects into the events of The Fellowship of the Ring. The remaining images showcase various Hobbits and an autumnal, pumpkin-filled Shire atmosphere that captures the franchise's classic warmth and spirit. The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum releases in theaters December 17, 2027.
