***JOIN THE PATREON***
Yerrrr! Welcome back to another episode of Return of the Mak! This week I’m joined by new friends of the show and stars of the movie: Sunburn – Josh (@loveobra) and Dashawn (@dlblackwood). Sunburn is a film that made its way to the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)! We kick things off by getting into what the movie is about, how everyone got involved with the project and what initially inspired them to pursue acting and much more.
We also get into the process of getting a film selected for TIFF, what that experience looks like for independent filmmakers and which iconic movies they’d love to recreate if given the opportunity. Then, somehow, the conversation takes a turn as I reveal that I doesn’t cry in front of girlfriends, which leads to a conversation about vulnerability and showing emotions in relationships.
And, of course, we close things out by discussing the absolute evil that is Net 60 payment terms. Because waiting two months to get paid for work you’ve already done is insane.
