Everywhere I went, there were memories. Places, rooms, people and little things that brought tears and reminded me of what has changed.</p><p>But amongst the sadness, there was also happiness, laughter, friends and family, not to mention the beauty and especially the feeling of being back somewhere that will always be home.</p><p>It reminded me that grief isn't simply sadness. We can miss people deeply and still laugh. We can shed tears and experience joy. We can feel heartbroken and grateful, all within the same day.</p><p>Perhaps that's part of learning to live with loss — making space for all of our emotions, rather than feeling we have to choose between sadness and happiness.</p><p>In this episode, I’m sharing some of my own experience of coming home, the memories it brought up, and the reminder that even in difficult seasons, there can still be moments of beauty, connection and happiness.</p><p>Because sometimes, the most positive possibility is simply allowing ourselves to feel it all.</p><p><br></p><p>You can contact me at www.joanlaceymindsetcoach.com or on instagram @joanlaceymindsetcoach</p>","author_name":"Joan Macleod"}
