The duo also looked back at last week’s unexpected fire alarm drama, which famously interrupted the show and nearly turned a Myles Smith song into an accidental Dolly Parton remix.</p><p><br></p><p>A highlight of the afternoon was welcoming Stuart’s daughter Lucy into the studio to celebrate her 12th birthday. Lucy brought plenty of birthday energy, gave her honest opinions on studio life, and even enjoyed her own “five minutes of fame” as she shared stories about secondary school, half-term adventures and life as a Year 7 student.</p><p><br></p><p>Elsewhere, Stuart and Rachael chatted about Soccer Aid, Robbie Williams’ halftime performance, local events including the Grafton Regis Summer Fete and Classic Car Show, and the upcoming Stony Live Festival, which promises a packed week of music and entertainment across Stony Stratford.</p><p><br></p><p>The show’s popular&nbsp;<strong>Birthday of the Week</strong>&nbsp;feature returned, complete with a special birthday song chosen by Lucy, while listeners also enjoyed plenty of 80s classics, a misheard lyrics moment, and a nostalgic trip through the decade of MTV, Pac-Man and Live Aid.</p><p><br></p><p>As the afternoon rolled on, conversation turned to weekend plans, BBQs, cocktails, food festivals and even surfing, paddleboarding and seaside adventures.
