Back in 2019, I swore in this podcast episode with Matthew Siwiec, CFP, that I'd never become a financial planner. Cut to 6 years later, and here I am eating my words as a financial planner. But the main reason I wanted him on the show back then was to talk about who you can actually trust in the financial industry, given the alphabet soup of designations that make it hard to know who is actually on your side, and who is just trying to make a sale.
