Quadrise Plc, MSC Shipmanagement Ltd, and Cargill have signed a collaboration agreement to conduct operational trials of Quadrise's bioMSAR™ and MSAR® biofuels aboard the MSC Leandra. These trials, commencing before the end of Q1 2025, will involve the production of the fuels at the MAC2 facility in Antwerp using Cargill-supplied feedstocks. Successful trials will lead to a long-term commercial agreement between the three companies. The trials aim to demonstrate the commercial viability and environmental benefits of Quadrise's fuels for decarbonising the shipping industry, eventually securing Letters of No Objection from Wärtsilä and potentially other engine manufacturers. Further discussions are planned to explore using Quadrise's Blend-on-Board solution.
