Unfortunately, in the current maternity system many women experience anything BUT a sacred birth...which makes me very sad!&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Did you know that 1 in 3 women actually experience some form of birth trauma during their childbirth experience? This can be physical, mental, emotional or spiritual in nature. It can often lead to PTSD and/or Postnatal Depression, which then has a huge impact on individuals, relationships, and family life. </p><p><br></p><p>After working with women and couples in this area for more than 30 years, I am acutely aware of the problems they encounter and know there are solutions. So I would like to open the conversation about HOW we can turn these statistics around.</p><p><br></p><p>~ How can we prevent birth trauma from happening in the first place, or at least reduce the likelihood of it happening? </p><p>~ What can be done to help those who have experienced birth trauma? </p><p><br></p><p>This is a HUGE issue which desperately needs more conversation, as well as action to find solutions as 'this' impacts all of humanity.&nbsp;</p>","author_name":"Faye Suzanne"}
