{"version":"1.0","type":"rich","provider_name":"Acast","provider_url":"https://acast.com","height":250,"width":700,"html":"<iframe src=\"https://embed.acast.com/$/66faf645fdb2501b6b000127/66faf647fdb2501b6b000161?\" frameBorder=\"0\" width=\"700\" height=\"250\"></iframe>","title":"Ep.9: Jon Tonks on documentary photography and pub snacks","description":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Ep.9: Jon Tonks on documentary photography and pub snacks</p>\n<p>On this episode we've been joined by Bath-based photographer, and a real favourite photographer of ours, Jon Tonks.</p>\n<p>We speak to Jon about his introduction to working in photography, which started in the lesser-seen-these-days world of press photography; his almost seamless transition into the longer form bodies of work and documentary photography and trying to find that constant balance between personal projects and commercial work.</p>\n<p>We speak to Jon about his current project; a year long documentation of sustainable fishing, commissioned by <a href='https://www.martinparrfoundation.org/about/we-feed-the-uk-jon-tonks-commission/'>Martin Parr Foundation</a> for <a href='https://wefeedtheuk.org/story/in-deep-water-sustainable-fishing/'>We Feed The UK</a> by <a href='https://gaiafoundation.org/'>The Gaia Foundation</a>. A body of work focused on bringing attention to the positive stories of people nourishing the country in a sustainable way.</p>\n<p>This work will then go on exhibition at the Martin Parr Foundation in 2025.
