Ep.9: Jon Tonks on documentary photography and pub snacks
\nOn this episode we've been joined by Bath-based photographer, and a real favourite photographer of ours, Jon Tonks.
\nWe speak to Jon about his introduction to working in photography, which started in the lesser-seen-these-days world of press photography; his almost seamless transition into the longer form bodies of work and documentary photography and trying to find that constant balance between personal projects and commercial work.
\nWe speak to Jon about his current project; a year long documentation of sustainable fishing, commissioned by Martin Parr Foundation for We Feed The UK by The Gaia Foundation. A body of work focused on bringing attention to the positive stories of people nourishing the country in a sustainable way.
\nThis work will then go on exhibition at the Martin Parr Foundation in 2025. You can pledge to support the project here, and by donating £100 you'll receive a signed limited edition print from the project.
