Adrie and Stitch dive into the world of prison romance — a subgenre of romance and dark erotica centered on men (and occasionally other beings) who are deprived of liberty, whether in correctional facilities, medical institutions, or otherwise controlled environments. They're joined by licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist Andrew Pari, who has pioneered work closing the gap between kink/BDSM communities and clinical psychology, and who just finished writing a book chapter on consensual non-consent. Together, all three push back on the discourse around dark romance as uniquely harmful, arguing that women's rape fantasies are neither new nor dangerous — and that curiosity, not condemnation, is the real antidote.
