Happy 2 Year Anniversary to Podstruck! To celebrate two years of the podcast, we're giving everyone a little peek behind the Patreon curtain and releasing one of our Patreon-exclusive episodes on the main feed! AND we are also announcing that Podstruck is officially returning for SEASON 3 on December 16th, 2026! That's right, we'll be back with brand-new weekly episodes just in time for some holiday rom-coms!
But why wait until December to join in on the Podstruck merriment?! We're releasing TWO bonus episodes a month on Patreon during our hiatus (one movie a month and one chit chatty episode), so if you're missing us (or just need more movies and unsolicited opinions about Richard Gere), come join us and the other Meet Cuties! https://www.patreon.com/Podstruckpod
And we want to sincerely thank you for two years of listening, laughing, and rom-comming. We love you and can't wait for Season 3!
THE TRUTH ABOUT CATS & DOGS:
Today we're covering the 1996 Uma Thurman and Janeane Garofalo rom-com, The Truth About Cats & Dogs. This movie was recommended to us via email, via a review, AND on our Patreon, so clearly it's a fan favorite! In this episode, we'll discuss the injustice of Janeane Garofalo portraying the "ugly" friend, the insane premise that this entire movie hinges on, as well as our shared love for the 1997 movie Batman & Robin (we know, we know — this movie is BAD!). We also touch on a quick PSA: Peter Sarsgaard and Alexander Skarsgård are NOT brothers. I repeat: NOT BROTHERS!
