Maomao's family is a typical bilingual family, and she has plenty of hands-on experience guiding her kids to use Chinese, even their regional dialect, Shanghainese. We shared some of our own little strategies, and also touched on real-life challenges — like how kids often switch entirely to English once they start school, or how to help your English-speaking spouse understand your conversations with the kids. Tune in to hear how we’re navigating it all. And we’d love to hear your experiences too!

If you like this and want to hear more, subscribe to the show so you get a new episode every week.
