Today's guest is very special. Not only is she a retired public health nurse but she is also my mom. Welcome to the SLP Corner podcast, Mom (aka Erin). Erin has a breadth of experience as a public health nurse in various settings, from rural Ontario to Alberta to the Northwest Territories. One of her favourite aspects of public health nursing was parent counselling and teaching.

We discuss ideas parents can do at home to occupy young children in a stimulating way, positive parenting tips and tricks, and ways to navigate challenging behaviours. We dive into topics such as separating the deed from the doer and natural versus logical consequences.

As always, please rate and review my podcast and thank you for listening!

Follow me on:
Facebook - SLP Corner
Instagram - slpcorner

Check out my blog: www.slpcorner.com

Support the Show.
","author_name":"Shannon Briggs"}
