Every ancient culture around Israel had a creation story. In most of them, the gods are fighting, creation is born out of conflict, and the sun and moon are forces to be feared. And then there's Genesis — and it's completely different. In this episode we start at the very beginning and trace light through some of the most significant moments in the Bible, from the first words God ever speaks, through the wilderness, through an ancient prophecy, all the way to the end of the story. By the time we're done, when Jesus says you are the light of the world, hopefully it lands a little differently.
