By bringing awareness to areas of tension or discomfort, a person can consciously allow that tension to relax and discomfort to flow through them.  Conscious relaxation is the initial step towards releasing body memory.</p><p><br></p><p>Step 2 involves spontaneous movement which plays a crucial role in Unwinding. </p><p>Spontaneous movement occurs when one allows their body to move naturally and freely, without preconceived patterns or restrictions. These free-form movements just happen when the body is relaxed and uncontrolled and ultimately help to facilitate the flow of bioenergy that leads to the release of body memory.</p><p><br></p><p>Intentional breathing is step 3 and a crucial element in the Unwinding process. By relaxing the diaphragm and taking deeper inhalations and exhalations, a person can enhance the flow of bioenergy and Unwinding.</p><p><br></p><p>The final component of Unwinding involves vocal expression. This step involves giving a voice to sensations of pain or pleasure during Unwinding movements.
