But less than 48 hours later, those ambitions were cut tragically short when paramedics were called to a hotel in King's Cross, just half a mile from his university accommodation, where they found Ed dead.</p><p><br></p><p>At the time of his death, Ed was in the company of two men in their fifties - strangers he had met only a few hours earlier.</p><p><br></p><p>Throughout this series, I'll speak to Ed's family and friends - the people who have fought tirelessly to uncover the truth about exactly what happened to him.
