Bristol wants to end its global warming impact by 2030.</p><p><br></p><p>To do so, the council has partnered with the private companies Ameresco, a cleantech integrator, and Vattenfall Heat UK, a district heating developer.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The public-private partnership, known as “<a href=\"https://www.bristolcityleap.co.uk/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Bristol City Leap</a>”, seeks to boost the level of renewable energy used in the city, expand Bristol’s district heating network and increase the renovation rate of the city’s building stock, enhancing energy efficiency.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Bristol City Council and Ameresco each own half of the venture, with Vatenfall as the primary subcontractor.
