Mohammad Yazdanfard speaks with his friend, Surena Firouzabadi, a 25-year-old whose life experiences go far beyond his age. Surena has an impressive command of English, a deep love of books and writing, and a wide range of interests, from history and music to photography and YouTube. As an only child, he learned many valuable lessons from his parents and has experienced some remarkable highs and lows in life. His family went from considerable financial comfort to serious hardship, before gradually rebuilding their lives and moving forward. Surena has also faced some extremely dark periods, including two suicide attempts, yet he never gave up on life. Today, he continues to learn, create, reflect, and find ways to enjoy life despite everything he has been through. In this conversation, Mohammad and Surena talk about his journey, his experiences, and what keeps him moving forward.
