COVID in the House of Old presents Stories from Wikwemikong Nursing Home, a four part series that takes a deep dive into the unique place that is the Wikwemikong Nursing Home.
Episode 3 tells the story of how the home dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic and hears first hand accounts of the outbreak.
Over four episodes hosts Megan Davies and Darrel Manitowabi will guide you through interviews with residents, staff, family members, and community members. The episodes will explore: daily life in the nursing home, how Indigenous culture is worked into the home, the home's experience during COVID, and the history and future of the nursing home.
