Jeff Maynard, author of Antarctica’s Lost Aviator, reconstructs Ellsworth’s repeated failed attempts, his successful flight with Canadian pilot Herbert Hollick-Kenyon, and the records preserved by fellow explorer Sir Hubert Wilkins.
