David Walsh has lived the same Tuesday more than forty thousand times.
At 6:14 a.m., a physics experiment begins a cascade that will destroy Earth. At 8:47 p.m., the containment system David built resets the planet to morning. Everyone forgets. David does not. After more than sixty remembered years, every failed solution has become routine, until one invariant reading changes.
Something is pressing against the boundary from the place where each discarded day was supposed to disappear.

To save the surface without condemning the people below, David must question the system he understands better than anyone, and the assumptions that forty thousand identical mornings taught him never to question.
