I went to George Harrison’s old house, Bhaktivedanta Manor, to record a conversation with Hanuman Dass.
Hanuman Das runs the charity organisation, GoDharmic , that operates on the principles of Love all, Feed all, Serve all.
Before he was known as Hanuman Dass, Hanuman worked and was successful in financial markets. One day, he stumbled across an old copy of Ram Dass‘s Be Here Now. Following that discovery he went on to meet Ram Dass, receive the name Hanuman Dass, and start GoDharmic; grown from the instructions of Neem Karoli Baba - to feed people.
Ultimately, Hanuman operates from a basis of Love, evidenced by his own words in this conversation and encouragement to give money to ANY charity, not specifically GoDharmic, as an act of service.
The journey from selfishness to selflessness is not one that is tied to any one religion or spiritual tradition, but is recognised and practiced by all of them. In this conversation, we spoke about all this and more; including how HD manages stress, the importance of family on his path, and meeting Ram Dass in Maui.
