With&nbsp;<em>Fiddler on the Roof</em>&nbsp;leading the nominations with 13, it was an exciting night for theatre, but a range of shows came out victorious.&nbsp;<em>Fiddler on the Roof</em>,&nbsp;<em>Giant</em>, and&nbsp;<em>The Curious Case of Benjamin Button&nbsp;</em>each took home three awards, while&nbsp;<em>Oedipus</em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Titanique</em>&nbsp;won two.</p><p><br></p><p>We discuss the major wins of the evening, including Romola Garai's surprise victory in the Best Actress in a Supporting Role category for&nbsp;<em>The Years</em>, and stage veterans Lesley Manville and John Lithgow, who both claimed Best Actress and Best Actor awards for their roles in&nbsp;<em>Oedipus</em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Giant</em>, respectively. We also celebrate Elliot Levey's win in the Best Supporting Actor category for&nbsp;<em>Giant</em>.</p><p><br></p><p>The prestigious Best Musical Revival award went to&nbsp;<em>Fiddler on the Roof</em>, while&nbsp;<em>The Curious Case of Benjamin Button&nbsp;</em>triumphed with Best New Musical,&nbsp;<em>Giant</em>&nbsp;took Best New Play, and&nbsp;<em>Oedipus</em>&nbsp;received the Best Revival award.</p><p><br></p><p>We also shine a spotlight on the musical theatre winners: Layton Williams won his first Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical for&nbsp;<em>Titanique</em>, while Imelda Staunton claimed Best Actress in a Musical for&nbsp;<em>Hello, Dolly!</em>.
