Context matters, so how do we compare across different countries? In this episode host Bridget Anderson is joined by Clare Fox-Ruhs, Part-Time Assistant Professor at the European University Institute, and Joakim Palme, Professor in the Department of Government at Uppsala University, who have both been dealing with this conceptually and methodologically in their focus on rights, interests and attitudes. They explain what 'institutions' means to the PRIME project and discuss the methodological challenge of comparing countries with such different histories, politics and cultures.</p><p><br></p><p>To learn more about the PRIME Project and read its latest reports visit the project <a href=\"https://migrationpolicycentre.eu/protecting-irregular-migrants/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">website</a>.</p><p><br></p><p><a href=\"https://www.bristol.ac.uk/people/person/Bridget-Anderson-8389513e-c870-4a7f-8dbe-8370d3188c5a/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Bridget Anderson</a> is the co-Principal Investigator on the PRIME project, Professor of Migration, Mobilities and Citizenship at the University of Bristol, and Director of <a href=\"https://migration.bristol.ac.uk/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Migration Mobilities Bristol</a>.</p><p><br></p><p><a href=\"https://www.eui.eu/people?id=clare-fox-ruhs\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Clare Fox-Ruhs</a>, Part-Time Assistant Professor at the European University Institute.</p><p><br></p><p><a href=\"https://www.uu.se/en/contact-and-organisation/staff?query=N9-977\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Joakim Palme</a>, Professor in the Department of Government at Uppsala University.</p><p><br></p><p>Produced by <a href=\"https://migration.bristol.ac.uk/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Migration Mobilities Bristol</a></p><p><br></p><p>Edited by Melissa FitzGerald @melissafitz</p>","author_name":"Migration Mobilities Bristol"}
