But then again, in a world of increasing&nbsp;tensions and wars, latterly in Iran and endlessly in Ukraine, Gaza and the wider Middle East; in a world of Putin, Xi and of course Trump, summits are necessary just to keep allies on board, or at least afloat. But they also showcase the harsh reality of a world of Strong Men who think of themselves as Big Men, making history.</p><p>This is a marked change to the previous decades, definitely since the end of the Cold War, and to understand its meaning, as well as the spectacle of the NATO summit, Ilana Bet-El is joined by two Big&nbsp;Women Leaders who were ambassadors to NATO:&nbsp;Kerry Buck&nbsp;of Canada and Muriel Domenach of France. Reflecting&nbsp;on the alliance, the summit, security, defence,&nbsp;common values and much more, this strong discussion takes us on a Transatlantic tour in a time of major change.</p><p>This episode was recorded on 26 June 2025</p><p><u>Chapters</u></p><p>What was the outcomes of NATO Summit?</p><p>Trump evolution over the NATO Summits</p><p>How Europeans deal with Trump behaviour?</p><p>What is the future of NATO?</p><p><u>Mentions</u></p><p><a href=\"https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/topics_50115.htm#previous\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">NATO Summit page</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/official_texts_236705.htm\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Hague Summit Declaration</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.cnbc.com/2025/06/26/trump-and-ruttes-bromance-stole-the-spotlight-at-the-nato-summit.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Rutte on Trump</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.politico.eu/article/trumps-policy-iran-israel-strategy-john-bolton-bombing-evangelical-maga-tulsi-gabbard-nato-russia-defense/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">John Bolton on Trump</a></p><p><u>Follow</u></p><p>Kerry Buck&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.notion.so/Episode-14-Kerry-Buck-Muriel-Domenach-21ee3816b9ab80f9baeed5a6cc9de4f1?pvs=21\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">LinkedIn</a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https://x.com/kerry_buck\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">X/Twitter</a></p><p>Muriel Domenach&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/in/muriel-domenach-255084178/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">LinkedIn</a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.globsec.org/who-we-are/our-people/muriel-domenach\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Globsec</a></p><p>Instagram&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.instagram.com/women_leaders_podcast/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">@women_leaders_podcast</a></p><p>ELN&nbsp;<a href=\"https://twitter.com/@theELN\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter</a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/company/european-leadership-network-for-multilateral-nuclear-disarmament-and-non-proliferation\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">LinkedIn</a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.europeanleadershipnetwork.org/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">website</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/in/ilana-bet-el-5a5bb78?originalSubdomain=be\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Ilana Bet-El</a></p><p><u>Credits</u></p><p>Production:&nbsp;Florence Ferrando</p><p>Music: Let Good Times Roll, RA from #Uppbeat</p>","author_name":"Women Leaders - European Leadership Network"}
