Kit, Andy, and Steve continue their Hunger Games coverage with the prequel that takes audiences back to the early days of the Games. Sixty four years before Katniss Everdeen, an ambitious young Coriolanus Snow is assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird, a charismatic tribute from District 12, in the hope that her survival will restore his family’s fading fortunes. The boys dig into Snow’s origin story, the film’s musical flourishes, and how it recontextualizes everything that came before.
