I have been interviewing female physicists of color and I was crying behind my laptop. And then a colleague is telling me I am making things up.\"</p><p>(06:42) Arnoud [°1978 - Zeist, NL] \"I am the oldest son of the oldest son. So responsibility becomes a big issue. Be in control.\" And a U-turn that had to be taken.</p><p>(12:37) Mauricio Diaz [°1981 - Mexico City] \"A very important thing is to matter and to be respected. And to be alive.\"</p><p>(18:23) Inge [°1988 - USA/NL] recently became a mother herself, which started conversations with her own mother. \"It's so similar, what we experienced. Which makes me sad. Women are still so pushed as women.\"</p><p>(21:47) Astrid [°1990 - Columbia] \"I loose my voice. I do want to say things, but feel that nothing that I would be capable to say is meaningful. Because I have been harmed, I don't want to harm.\"</p><p>(26:44) What do you deserve? \"To be more proud of myself. To be able to speak my mind. To be respected as a man in my vulnerability. To be loved and be happy, as we all do.\"</p><p><br></p><p>For each episode of FOR REAL, we get together with a group of people in a theater, to look into what it means to matter as a person.
