Stephan Nance is a singer-songwriter and writer based in Portland. They make music under the name Sparkbird and has toured all over Japan, Europe, the US and beyond. They also write young adult fiction and are an Oregon LIterary Fellow and mentee under H.E. Edgemond through “We Need Diverse Books.” They are an avid birder, are Jewish, and lives with their partner Adam and two parrots, Fred and Georgie.
