We chat to her ahead of the World Premiere of Wahine Mātātoa, a (mostly true) play about her fiery tūpuna, Erihāpeti Pātahi. This comedy of consequences, tells the story of this wahine Kāi Tahu across time and space. Wahine Mātātoa is being staged as part of the ODT Dunedin Arts festival, which opened this week.
