Huge thanks to bonafide club legend <a href=\"https://x.com/mark_obrien92\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Mark O'Brien</a> for joining us. <a href=\"https://www.instagram.com/rhys_warren3/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Rhys</a> is in the hotseat as Mark chats about his time at the club. He joined under Graham Westley, scored THAT Great Escape goal, and was a feature of the side as it evolved under Mike Flynn to progress to two play-off finals and numerous cup runs, and this summer was appointed club ambassador.</p><p><br></p><p>Mark speaks candidly about coping with having to retire at 27 through heart issues, and dealing with the subsequent PTSD and depression. It's raw and emotional, and we're grateful to Mark for sharing his journey with us.</p><p><br></p><p>If you want to read more on Mark’s story, his book <strong><em>Game of Two Hearts: My Life in Football and Beyond</em></strong> is available from <a href=\"https://www.amazon.co.uk/Game-Two-Hearts-Football-Beyond/dp/1739296931\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Amazon</a> and <a href=\"https://www.waterstones.com/book/game-of-two-hearts/mark-obrien/john-brindley/9781739296933\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Waterstones</a>.</p><p><br></p><p>As always, you can contact us via <a href=\"https://linktr.ee/1912exiles\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">your social media platform of choice</a>, and you can also <a href=\"https://ko-fi.com/1912exiles\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">donate as little as £2 via our ko-fi page</a>&nbsp;towards our running costs. Thanks as always to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.facebook.com/RiversideXWSF\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Riverside Sports Bar</a>&nbsp;(the home of great sport and burgers in Newport) for their support, and to <a href=\"https://twitter.com/TintyBucketHats\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Tinty &amp; The Bucket Hats</a> for letting us use&nbsp;<a href=\"https://youtu.be/Dy0hkl5TcvU\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Discoland</em></a>&nbsp;as our theme tune.
