Well, what a refreshing bye round - for the first time of all the bye weeks thus far, we had so many premos scoring HUGE and on par with expectations. We had Luke Jackson 176, Daicos 159, Sheezel 153, The Wang 144, Bont 142, Gawn 140, heck, even Wilkie returned to form with a 130! In total we had 23 players scoring 120+ or better, which is the most we’ve had in a single bye round.
But, of course, we had a sour note to counter the positive. Last week we had Archie Roberts go down with a LTI, and this week the SC Gods gifted us with another in the form of Jack Sinclair. And for good measure we’ve had news that Xerri will miss this week due to needing surgery on his busted jaw.
If anything, this is a stark reminder that it’s at this stage of the season we start to see LTIs crop up, and not to be so hasty about trading and keeping some up your sleeve for the back half of the year.
