Her research has focused on inequities in cancer care and on ways to achieve high quality care for all people. In 2018, she experienced a traumatic event at work and found herself called to forgive, which stretched her into new places. She is now a physician and physician leadership coach, working with people who want to live and lead with dignity. She is also the host of the podcast, The Dignity Lab. Jennifer and her husband live in the woods in southeast Michigan with their little dog Daisy, surrounded by oak trees and songbirds.
