Wicked film cast member. House renovation survivor. And our kind of person.

This week Cara and Bronagh are joined by the brilliant Courtney Mae Briggs — West End actress, content creator, mum to two year old Minnie, and the woman who played the mum in the Wicked film alongside Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Yes, really. And somehow we nearly got through the whole episode without anyone realising quite how major that is.

Courtney tells us about growing up in Surrey, training at drama college and going straight into work — including the original London cast of Hamilton, Back to the Future the Musical, In the Heights and Strictly Ballroom. She opens up about what it's actually like doing eight shows a week in the West End, the adrenaline of coming offstage at half ten in Covent Garden and immediately going out, and the surreal experience of filming Wicked — singing live on set, doing the whole duet sequence in one Steadicam take, and her costume ripping between takes while sixty crew members stood watching. Oh, and she once farted on stage during Hamilton and the skirt wafted it directly into the audience. 1200 people. She's fine about it now.

House renovations, the chaos of coming home from hospital with a newborn to a building site, why Courtney is completely unbothered about people scuffing her nice kitchen, and the old school video camera she uses to document family life that had everyone reaching for their phones to order one.

Courtney's route from Surrey to drama college to the original London cast of Hamilton

What it's really like performing eight shows a week — the fitness, the injuries and the adrenaline

The Wicked film — how she got the role, filming live on set and why the costume kept splitting

House renovations, newborns on building sites and why Cara is still waiting for her shower

Five beauty must haves — Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter, Biodance collagen masks, Sunday Riley Good Genes, Pearl Beauty bronzer and Medicube pore pads

The wardrobe malfunction that shall not be named.
