El Pampero Cine, the Argentine film collective, formed in Buenos Aires by Laura Citarella, Mariano Llinás, Agustín Mendilaharzu, and Alejo Moguillansky, has been honing its unique cinematic voice since 2002. Without a shadow of a doubt, the foursome have delivered a compelling body of work, including their take on The Little Match Girl, the two-part Trenque Lauquen and La Flor, which clocks in at a staggering 808 minutes. Phil, Kevin and Dave take a closer look at their brand of independent cinema, while trying their level best to get the pronunciations right. Will they succeed?
