Under his leadership, EDO delivered landmark litigation and advanced the law on climate change, ecosystem protection and cultural heritage.  </p><p>David has deep experience advising governments on environmental reforms and in 2016 received the Mahla Pearlman Award for Young Environmental Lawyer of the Year from the Law Council of Australia.</p><p>He is a former board member of the Australian Conservation Foundation and has held voluntary governance roles with Torquay Surf Lifesaving Club, and the Environment Centre Northern Territory.
