A couple months ago I received an email from NFL player Mike Nugent saying he was a fan of the podcast and he had some money questions for me, as a new dad. I was totally blown away and excited, so much so that I asked if he'd come on So Money today to share more of what it's like to manage money as a pro athlete and to share some of the behind-the-scenes of the role of money in the professional sports world. Seriously, why do so many athletes lose their financial grip?

Mike been a placekicker in the NFL for 12 years. He's played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Arizona Cardinals and most recently just finished playing with the Cincinnati Bengals. Mike is a two time All American in football and played in the 2002 National Championship team. When we recorded this episode he was still a free agent, so I was curious to ask how that is impacting his financial planning.

For more information visit www.somoneypodcast.com.
","author_name":"Farnoosh Torabi"}
