Seven UK police forces are now reviewing evidence from the Epstein files as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor faces scrutiny over alleged “Lolita Express” flights and historic sex trafficking claims. Peter Cardwell speaks to royal commentator Caroline Aston about the coordinated investigations involving Essex Police, the Metropolitan Police, Surrey Police and others, as officers assess flight logs into Stansted and emails linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
Aston says the saga is “the story that keeps on giving”, warning that three million documents mean “there’s other stuff that will come up as time goes on”. She describes the files as a “can of worms” that is getting “bigger and more wriggling by the day”, adding that the forensic trawl through emails and records could have long-lasting consequences.
The interview also examines the position of the late Queen Elizabeth II, the £12 million settlement paid to Virginia Giuffre, and whether the Royal Family acted quickly enough. Aston says this “rotten apple is threatening to taint the whole picture” and argues the monarchy must embrace greater transparency as the Prince Andrew Epstein investigation continues to escalate.
